On April 1, 2026 at approximately 5:45 AM,

Flint City Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a traffic incident in the 2000 block of Indian Hills Rd NE following an automated iPhone crash notification indicating a severe crash.

While units were responding, additional information was received confirming that a patient was entrapped within the vehicle, with possible ejection reported. Due to the severity of the incident, mutual aid was automatically dispatched.

Upon arrival, Flint units and mutual aid personnel located a Honda CR-V that had left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Firefighters from Flint City Fire & Rescue, along with mutual aid crews from Hartselle Fire, worked together to safely extricate the patient from the vehicle.

There was only one occupant in the vehicle, who was transported to a regional hospital for treatment.

Flint units remained on scene to assist with traffic control until the vehicle could be removed by a wrecker.

We would like to thank our mutual aid partners for their assistance and remind the public to always drive safely and remain alert while traveling
